Alfred Harry
Alfred has worked as a butcher in Runcorn for 17 years at Kwik Save, Mike Harry Butchers and Morrisons. He suffers badly from osteoporosis, gout and depression, which stems back to the death of his wife from cancer 10 years ago. When Alfred’s 45 year old boiler broke down, he couldn’t afford to replace it and was consequently living without hot water or heating. Following a recommendation from a colleague to BDCI, we were able to approve a grant to fund not only a new boiler but also the installation of additional radiators to warm his entire home more efficiently.
I can’t tell you the difference that being warm has made to my quality of life!
